Neos Networks has reached its target of unbundling 550 BT exchanges before the end of 2021, bringing its total fibre footprint across the UK to more than 34,000 kilometres. The company, which rebranded from SSE Enterprise Telecoms earlier this year, exclusively serves the enterprise market, delivering high-capacity connectivity directly to businesses, the public sector, and other service providers, including mobile operators. One of Neos’s most high-profile customers is Three, which uses the network to provide the backbone for its 5G service. South Korean electronics major Samsung , which is eyeing the automotive sector with keen interest, has unveiled three semiconductor chips for in-vehicle use. These will help operate 5G connectivity, infotainment services and power management in cars.  Samsung has already started supplying its infotainment chip to Volkswagen, and is taking on the likes of Qualcomm that is servicing auto majors like BMW and Renault , among others.   The three automotive chips unveiled by Samsung are: the Exynos Auto T5123 for 5G connectivity, the Exynos Auto V7 for in-vehicle infotainment systems and  S2VPS01 power management IC (PMIC) for the Auto V series. A panel of Indian lawmakers studying the information and technology industry in the country is far from happy over Facebook's responses on preventing hate mongering. The Parliamentary committee that questioned Facebook India officials on Monday as part of its hearing,  sought safeguards on the platform to prevent polarization and any possible tampering of the country's democratic process. Further, the panel of Indian law-makers also decided to summon the Facebook whistleblower Sophie Zhang, the data scientist who published a memo detailing the way Facebook was used to influence global politics. She had specifically spoken about how the platform was allowed to be used for polarisation of opinions during the 2020 Delhi riots. The panel will need Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's permission to summon Zhang as  overseas citizens cannot be directly called to appear before such panels.
